Disertacion de Santo Tomás de Aquino
In yonder realm where reason weaves its thread, Behold the lofty mind of Santo Tomás, A beacon bright amidst the shadows spread, Illuminating truth with wisdom's glass. Upon the stage of thought, he doth engage, The matter of the soul, of Being's might, Held captive by the fates upon this page, In every word, a philosophy takes flight. Oh, ponder deep the essence of his quest, To reconcile the faith with reason's grace, A dance divine, where knowledge finds its rest, In God’s embrace, celestial and effaced. With each articulation, truths entwined, He draws the heart from darkling doubts away, Arguing for a love divinely aligned, A union of the sacred and the gray. Thus, in discourse profound, man's plight is found, The search for meaning in the cosmos grand, Where every question asked, though sorrow-bound, Doth lead the way to wisdom's gentle hand. So, let us sip this nectar rich and rare, From Santo Tomás, wise as morning's sun, For in his treatise, life's profound affair Doth whisper soft the secrets we have spun.
