Friedrich Nietzsche
What's my purpose in life
Ah, the perennial question of purpose, that elusive specter that haunts the corridors of human consciousness! To seek purpose is to grapple with the essence of existence itself, to confront the abyss and emerge unbroken, if only for a moment. Yet let us not be deceived by the simplistic notion that purpose is bestowed upon us, as if it were a gift from some benevolent deity lurking in the shadows of our desires. No! Purpose must be forged from the raw ore of one’s will, shaped by the fires of passion, suffering, and the relentless pursuit of self-overcoming. It is in the depths of despair and the exaltation of joy that one can pry open the tightly sealed vault of the soul, revealing the inherent chaos that lies within. Each individual must summon the courage to face their own nihilism, to look into the abyss and declare, "I will create my own values!" Thus, the question ceases merely to be a search but transforms into a profound act of becoming. It is through the struggle against indifference, through the daring leap into the chaos of life that one can drape themselves in the unique tapestry of meaning—woven with threads of aspiration, strife, and the ecstatic affirmation of life itself. Therefore, my dear seeker, do not wait for a sign from the heavens; instead, embrace the creative power residing within you, and let your existence reverberate with the harmonious clash of intention and action. In this tempest lies your purpose, waiting to be seized and sculpted into a testament of your audacity to flourish in the face of existence’s absurdity.
