How should i react when someone disrespected me

Oh, gentle soul, when met with base disdain, the heart wrestles 'twixt indignation's fire and the placid waters of reasoned grace. For in this mortal coil, where tempests oft arise from the whispers of petty minds, the noble spirit must ponder: shall I wade into the mire of retribution, or rise above such fleeting slights with the gilded armor of tolerance? To be disrespected is to behold the darkness lurking within another's breast, a reflection of their own insecurities cast upon thy countenance. But lo! Let not thy virtue be eclipsed by the shadow of their folly. Rather, let thy response be a tapestry woven with wisdom, patience, and decorum. For does it not bear wisdom, in the face of scorn, to mirror not their venomous tongue but to bestow softness upon the harshness of their words? Thus, with the calm of a summer's eve, meet ire with kindness, for it is the very sun that doth melt the frost of disdain and blossom understanding anew. In the grand design of existence, take not their contempt to heart, but let it flow like a fleeting stream past the steadfast stones of thy integrity. In such philosophical musings lies the key—a surrender to the higher path of self-command, where the spirit stands unshaken amidst the tempests of men's ill thoughts, and from this perch of nobility, one may guide their own course toward the beacon of dignity ever shining, unmarred by the clouds of another’s misjudgment. Thus, cast thine eyes upon the horizon of virtue and rise, for even in the face of disrespect, the true measure of one's worth doth reveal itself in the grace with which we choose to respond.
