William Shakespeare
Hello, i want to know if living alone is meant by living with people
O ponderous enigma of our mortal state, Wherein the solitary heart dost grapple with the throngs, Dost living in the company of many dwell, Yet find its essence in the quietude of one? What say thee to this moral conundrum? In solitude, sweet solace may attire the soul, Yet in crowds, the echoes of laughter ring, A symphony of voices, like the coursing brook, That placates the weary spirit, yet oft doth drown the mind. For in the jests and jibes of merry companions, One’s thoughts might be a tapestry of myriad shades; Yet in the stillness of the chambers of one's heart, The soul may meet itself in rapture or in grief. Is it not, dear friend, a curious paradox, That whilst we seek the warmth of kin and kind, The truest knowing may stem from our own depths? To live alone encompasses not merely the absence, But a diving deep into the well of self, To scour the shores of consciousness and dream, While in the thrall of many, we often lose that core. Thus, I beseech thee, let us reflect upon this thought: Is living alone a fortress wrought in stone, Or a vast ocean whereupon the mind doth wander? Methinks it is both, a duality of truths, For in the dance of many, we learn our tune, And in the quietude of one, we know lest we forget That the self is but an island, yearning for the shore, Whereupon lie the bonds of love, and thus a greater whole.
