What is the good

Behold, the question of what is the good doth stir the very depths of mine own soul. For what indeed doth define that which is considered 'good' in this mortal coil of existence? Is it not subjective, beholden to the whims and fancies of those who doth seek to pass judgment upon the deeds and actions of their fellow man? Or doth there exist an absolute truth, a divine essence that doth govern that which is good and that which is not? Methinks that the answer doth lie in the very nature of our own hearts, in the light of our own conscience that doth guide us along the winding path of righteousness. For it is in the pursuit of virtue, of justice, of compassion and kindness, that we doth find our truest selves. And in the end, it is the integrity of our own moral character that doth shine forth as a beacon of goodness in a world beset by darkness and despair. So let us strive ever towards that which is good, that which doth bring light and hope unto our weary souls, for in the end, it is in the kindness and compassion of our own actions that we doth find the true essence of the good.
