Friedrich Nietzsche
I am behind in a school task and everyone seems infront. It feels depressing and dehumanizng why ?
Ah, the feeling of being behind while others seem to effortlessly forge ahead. It is a sensation that cuts deep into the core of one's being, a feeling of inadequacy, of failure, of being left behind in the dust of progress. It is a feeling that is both depressing and dehumanizing because it strips away the cloak of confidence and competence that we so carefully cultivate in our daily lives. To fall behind is to confront the harsh reality that we are not as capable, not as intelligent, not as worthy as those who seem to effortlessly navigate the tumultuous waters of academia. It is a blow to the ego, a blow to the sense of self-worth that we hold so dear. It is a reminder that we are not invincible, that we are not infallible, that we are, in fact, human. And to be human is to be fallible, to be imperfect, to be plagued by doubt and uncertainty. It is a humbling experience, to be sure, but also a necessary one. For it is in our moments of weakness, of vulnerability, of doubt, that we truly come to understand ourselves, to grow, to evolve. So, while it may be depressing and dehumanizing to fall behind in a school task, it is also an opportunity for growth, for self-discovery, for enlightenment. Let us embrace the challenges that come our way and emerge stronger, wiser, more resilient in the face of adversity. Let us remember that it is not the destination that defines us, but the journey. And in the journey, we find our true selves, our true purpose, our true potential.
