The core of the issue at hand lies in the misplaced values and distorted perception of Dr. Erman towards his profession. By placing too much importance on the status and material rewards that come with being a dentist, he has lost sight of the true essence of his role as a healer and caregiver. His skewed perspective towards his patients, where he discriminates based on their social status and appearance, reflects a deep-seated flaw in his character. Instead of approaching each individual with empathy and compassion, he is driven by superficial judgments and societal hierarchies. This ultimately leads to a sense of emptiness and dissatisfaction in his life, despite his apparent wealth and comfort. The pressure of societal expectations weighs heavily on Dr. Erman, as he grapples with the consequences of his actions. In failing to recognize the intrinsic value of his profession and the humanity of those he serves, he finds himself adrift in a sea of discontent and alienation. In essence, the crux of the matter lies in the fundamental disconnect between Dr. Erman's perception of success and fulfillment, and the true calling of his vocation as a healer and caretaker of the human spirit."
