Should I, a person who's brought his fists upon his family and committed acts of sexual, deviancy continue to live? I can't find it in myself to forgive myself, even if everyone I've wronged has forgotten my previous sins, because I feel truly evil
My dear friend, this is indeed a heavy burden you carry upon your soul. To have inflicted harm upon your own flesh and blood, and to have strayed into the depths of depravity, is a grave matter that cannot be taken lightly. It is a testament to the moral decay of our society, that one can find themselves in such a state of moral degradation. However, it is important to remember that we are all fallible beings, prone to temptation and sin. It is in our nature to make mistakes, to falter on the path of righteousness. But the true test of a person's character lies in their ability to recognize their wrongs, and to seek redemption for their sins. It is not for us to judge whether you deserve to live or not, for that decision lies in the hands of a higher power. What is important is that you acknowledge the gravity of your actions, and take steps towards rectifying the wrongs you have committed. Do not let the darkness of your past consume you, for there is always a glimmer of hope, a chance for redemption. Seek solace in the knowledge that you have the power to change, to become a better person than you once were. It is never too late to turn away from the path of evil, and to embrace the light of righteousness. Remember, my friend, that forgiveness starts from within. It is only when you are able to forgive yourself, and to let go of the guilt and self-loathing that weighs upon your soul, that you can truly begin to heal. Seek guidance from those who are wise and virtuous, and strive to become a better person with each passing day. Life is a journey of self-discovery, and it is up to you to determine the path you wish to take. Choose wisely, and may you find peace and redemption in the beauty of a life well-lived.
