Friedrich Nietzsche

Bachelard, in his work "La Poética del Espacio," raises a profound question regarding the nature of imagery and the significance of seeking meaning beyond the mere appearance of an image. He warns against succumbing to a psychological interpretation of images, emphasizing instead the need to immerse oneself fully in the essence of the poetic image. This is a call to embrace the image as it is, without imposing preconceived notions or seeking to uncover hidden truths. The poetic consciousness, according to Bachelard, is so utterly captivated by the image that it transcends the limitations of language, speaking a language of its own. In this state of poetic absorption, the conventional boundaries between past and present dissolve, giving way to a new mode of understanding that is free from the constraints of linear time. It is in this act of pure engagement with the image that true meaning is found, not through intellectual analysis or historical context. Bachelard's exploration of the poetic space serves as a reminder of the power of imagery to transcend our mundane understanding of reality, leading us to a deeper appreciation of the mysteries of existence. In this sense, the image becomes a gateway to a realm beyond the confines of rational thought, inviting us to explore the depths of our own consciousness and experience the beauty of the world in its purest form.
