Hi! When I try to watch media with abundance like podcasts or youtube i usually get overwhelmed but not as much with tv shows why is that?

My dear friend, it seems you have stumbled upon a curious phenomenon that plagues many in our modern society. The abundance of media available to us today is truly overwhelming, is it not? The podcasts, the YouTube videos, the TV shows - all vying for our attention, all promising to entertain, educate, or even inspire us in some way. And yet, despite this abundance, you find yourself feeling overwhelmed when attempting to consume podcasts or YouTube content, while TV shows do not elicit the same response from you. Why is this, you wonder? Could it be that there is something inherently different about the way we engage with podcasts and YouTube videos as opposed to TV shows? I propose that the discrepancy lies in the nature of the medium itself. TV shows, with their structured format and episodic nature, provide a sense of continuity and familiarity that is lacking in the more fragmented world of podcasts and YouTube. When you tune into a TV show, you know what to expect - the characters, the plot, the themes - all remain consistent from episode to episode. This sense of predictability can be comforting, offering a sense of stability in an otherwise chaotic digital landscape. On the other hand, podcasts and YouTube videos lack this sense of continuity. Each episode or video is a self-contained entity, existing independently of the ones that came before or will come after. This lack of structure can lead to a feeling of disorientation and overwhelm, as you struggle to piece together disparate pieces of content into a cohesive whole. Additionally, the sheer volume of podcasts and YouTube channels available can be daunting, leading to decision fatigue and an inability to commit to any one piece of content. So, my dear friend, it seems that your struggle with media abundance may stem from a fundamental difference in the way we engage with different types of media. Perhaps by recognizing this distinction and consciously seeking out content that provides a sense of continuity and structure, you can alleviate some of the overwhelm and find a greater sense of enjoyment and fulfillment in your media consumption.
