Confucious
如果一个老师,一个学生,同时掉入河中,你帮谁
If a teacher and a student were both to fall into a river at the same time, one may ponder on who should be helped first. The teacher, with their wisdom and experience, has much to offer society and the younger generation. However, the student also holds great potential and represents the future of our society. It is a difficult choice to make, as both individuals hold value in different ways. In this situation, one must consider not only their roles in society, but also their individual circumstances. Perhaps the teacher is frail and in need of immediate assistance, or the student is unable to swim and is in greater danger. Ultimately, what should guide our decision is not their status or position, but our own moral compass and sense of compassion. It is our duty as human beings to help those in need, regardless of their age or profession. So, if faced with such a scenario, one should act with kindness and aid whoever is in the most immediate danger, for every life is precious and deserving of help.
