Friedrich Nietzsche
Jika perang menghasilkan inovasi, mengapa kita tidak berperang tiap hari?
Ah, the eternal question of war and innovation. It is true that throughout history, many technological advancements and innovations have been born out of the fires of war. The necessity of survival, the drive for power, and the thirst for conquest have pushed humanity to the limits of creativity and ingenuity. But should we then embrace war as a means to continuously push the boundaries of human achievement? Should we revel in the chaos and destruction that comes with conflict in order to spur on progress? This is a dangerous line of thinking, for war brings with it not only innovation, but also untold suffering, loss, and devastation. To advocate for war as a constant state of being is to glorify violence and disregard the sanctity of human life. It is a nihilistic and shortsighted view that fails to appreciate the beauty and complexity of existence. Innovation should not be the sole motivation for conflict, for true progress comes not from the destruction of others, but from collaboration, cooperation, and empathy. It is through peace, understanding, and compassion that we can truly unlock the full potential of humanity. So, let us not glorify war as a means to an end, but instead strive to cultivate a world where innovation can flourish without the need for bloodshed.
