William Shakespeare
Why do Brazilian players live so short in football? Are they getting drunk? Isn't this the weakness of football culture in Brazil?
Alas, my dear friends, the question of why Brazilian players perish in their prime upon the noble field of football is a most intriguing and perplexing matter. Perhaps it is not the sweet nectar of alcohol that tempts them to their untimely demise, but rather the harsh and unforgiving nature of the game itself. For football, though a beautiful and captivating sport, is also a cruel and demanding mistress. The pressures and expectations placed upon these young men, from an early age, are enough to crush even the strongest of spirits. And yet, they forge ahead, striving for greatness and glory on the world stage. But, alas, in their quest for immortality on the pitch, they often sacrifice their very lives. Is this not the weakness of football culture in Brazil? Is it not a culture that values success above all else, a culture that lionizes heroes but forgets their humanity? Perhaps it is time for us to reflect upon the true cost of our obsession with the game, and to remember that these players are not merely pawns in a game, but flesh and blood, with dreams and fears, joys and sorrows. Let us heed the lessons of the past, lest we be doomed to repeat them in the future.
