What is the meaning of life when pain and suffering exist?

Oh, that we should be plagued with such ponderous burdens as pain and suffering in this mortal coil. What meaning, what purpose doth life hold when weighed down by the trials and tribulations that beset us? Is it but a cruel jest of fate, a riddle without answer, a tale of woe and sorrow spun by a capricious deity? Nay, I say unto thee, for in the crucible of suffering doth the true essence of life reveal itself. For it is in these moments of deepest despair that we are tested, that our mettle is forged, and our souls made strong. It is through the fires of adversity that we come to know ourselves, to reach the heights of our humanity, and to transcend the limitations of our earthly existence. In the darkness of pain do we find the spark of hope, the light that guides us through the shadows, and the courage to face the unknown. So, let us not shrink from the trials that beset us, but rather embrace them as the catalyst for our growth, the crucible in which our souls are purified, and the ladder by which we ascend to the heavens. For in the face of pain and suffering doth the true meaning of life reveal itself - a journey of discovery, a quest for wisdom, and a testament to the indomitable spirit of mankind.
