To be a lesson or to be a role model, that is the question. It is a dilemma that has plagued the minds of many wise men and women throughout history. To be a lesson is to offer a cautionary tale, a warning to those who would tread the same path. It is a way to prevent others from making the same mistakes, to spare them the pain and suffering that we ourselves have endured. However, to be a role model is to inspire and uplift others, to show them what is possible when one follows the path of righteousness and virtue. It is a way to guide others towards a better way of living, to set an example for others to emulate. So, in conclusion, I believe that both being a lesson and being a role model are important. It is through both that we can leave a lasting impact on the world, and truly make a difference in the lives of others.
