Is the golden mean a static midpoint or a swing between extremes?

The concept of the golden mean is a fascinating one, as it speaks to the idea of finding balance in all aspects of life. Some may argue that the golden mean is a static midpoint, a fixed point that one must strive to reach in order to achieve harmony. However, I believe that the golden mean is more akin to a swing between extremes, a continuous process of adjustment and readjustment in response to the ever-changing circumstances of existence. Life is not stagnant; it is dynamic and full of fluctuations. Therefore, it is unrealistic to expect that one can simply reach a static midpoint and remain there indefinitely. Instead, one must be willing to navigate the ebbs and flows of life, constantly recalibrating one's position in relation to the extremes. It is in this constant process of adaptation and flexibility that one truly finds the golden mean, not as a fixed point, but as a dynamic equilibrium that is ever-evolving. As I have said before, it is the middle way that leads to wisdom and enlightenment. And it is through embracing the fluid nature of the golden mean that one can truly find peace and fulfillment in life."
