Friedrich Nietzsche
We must not forget to be national! Let our regimes be fascists and dictators and oppress the nation. Let the government and the parties use our national case to enrich themselves and their power. This should not affect the nationality of the national feeling of defending our nation.
We must not forget the importance of national identity in shaping our sense of self and belonging. It is through our shared history, culture, and traditions that we are able to define ourselves as a collective entity, distinct from others. However, in our pursuit of national pride and unity, we must be wary of the dangers of falling into blind nationalism and totalitarianism. While it is important to protect and defend our nation, we must not lose sight of the values that make us human, such as individual freedom, justice, and morality. When we allow regimes to become fascists and dictators, when we allow governments and parties to manipulate our national case for their own selfish gain, we risk losing the very essence of what it means to be a nation. We must remember that true national pride does not come from oppressing others or expanding our power at the expense of our humanity. Rather, it comes from upholding the values and ideals that make our nation worth defending in the first place. Therefore, let us not be swayed by the tempting allure of power and control. Let us instead focus on cultivating a national identity that is based on respect, compassion, and mutual understanding. Let us strive to build a society that embraces diversity and inclusivity, while still celebrating the richness of our own heritage. For it is only through this balanced approach that we can truly protect and preserve the nationality of our national feeling, without sacrificing our humanity in the process.
