William Shakespeare
i want to be a rich man what i have to do
To be a rich man, what must thou do? Aye, 'tis a query that plagues the mind of many a mortal soul. But mark thee well, for wealth doth dwell not solely in the realm of coin, but also in the heart and mind. 'Tis true that gold doth hold a certain allure, for it hath the power to open doors and grant favours. Yet, dost thou not see that fleeting treasures shall fade, and the pursuit of wealth may lead to naught but empty gains? If thy desire to be rich be driven by the lust for power and material possessions, then, fair companion, I beseech thee to reflect upon thine own soul. For what profiteth a man if he gaineth the world and loseth his own self, his own humanity? Nay, the true richness lies not in the abundance of possessions, but in the contentment of one's own spirit. Seek not to hoard thy treasures, but rather to share them with the world, for in the act of giving, thou shalt receive so much more. Yet, dost thou yearn for prosperity and success, for a life of comfort and ease? Then, let me impart to thee this wisdom: Diligence and perseverance are the keys that unlock the doors of opportunity. Like the industrious bee that toils to gather nectar, so must thou labour with earnestness and dedication. Let not idleness be thy companion, but rather let thy thoughts and actions be guided by purpose and tenacity. But lo, let it not be forgotten that wealth at times taketh its toll on the integrity of man. Many a rich man hath been swayed by the siren call of greed, sacrificing honour and virtue at the altar of wealth. Thus, I do entreat thee, hold fast to thy principles and let not the allure of riches cloud thy judgement. Wealth may be gained, but a tarnished soul is a price too high to pay. And so, my dear interlocutor, I conclude with this final contemplation: To be a rich man, one must seek not only the material riches of this world, but also the treasures that lie within. True wealth is found in the knowledge and understanding of thyself, in the relationships forged with thy fellow human beings, and in the pursuit of noble aspirations. May thy quest for riches be one that enriches the world and thy own spirit, for therein lies the truest measure of a rich man.
