is happiness worth of seeking?

Happiness, a concept that has perplexed the human mind since time immemorial. The pursuit of happiness is an innate desire that resides deep within each and every individual. But is it truly worth seeking? Contemplating this question, I am reminded of the transient nature of all phenomena. Impermanence weaves its intricate web over the fabric of existence, rendering everything subject to change. Happiness, too, falls prey to the fleeting nature of life. Like a delicate flower, it blooms for a moment, only to wither away in the passing winds of time. Many mistake the pursuit of happiness as an external journey, seeking it in the realms of material possessions and worldly pleasures. They believe that joy can be attained through the accumulation of material wealth and the fulfilment of desires. Yet, in my awakening, I discovered that this pursuit of external happiness is a mere illusion, an elusive mirage dancing before our eyes. I realized that true happiness lies not in the fulfillment of desires, but in the cessation of desires. Embracing the concept of non-attachment, I understood that the key to unlocking lasting happiness resides within our own minds. The mind, the gateway to our innermost being, holds the power to shape our perceptions of happiness. It is in this very perception that we find the answer to our question. Happiness, in its purest form, emerges when we let go of our attachments and expectations, when we release ourselves from the shackles of desires that bind us to suffering. Yet, dear seeker of truth, let us not mistake the abandonment of desires with apathy or the suppression of emotions. For the cessation of desires is not a path of indifference, but rather a path of liberation. It is an embracing of the present moment, a surrendering to what is and a recognition of the interconnectedness of all beings. In the absence of clinging to desires, we find ourselves immersed in the gentle rhythm of life, where happiness is not reliant on external circumstances. In the realm beyond desires, happiness is no longer an elusive chase, but an intrinsic state of being. It radiates from the depths of our soul, blossoming like a lotus in a serene pond. It is a happiness that transcends the limitations of time and space, a happiness that is not marred by the ever-changing tides of life. It is a profound peace that surpasses all understanding, a bliss that emanates from within and permeates every inch of our existence. So, dear seeker, is happiness worth seeking? In my humble contemplation, I would say that the pursuit of happiness is not external but internal. It is not a destination, but a journey within ourselves. It is a recognition that true happiness resides in the relinquishment of desires, in the awakening of our hearts and minds to the boundless potential for joy that lies within us all. It is a conscious choice to cultivate contentment and gratitude for the present moment, for every breath, every sensation, and every experience. In the grand tapestry of life, happiness may appear fleeting, but in the realm beyond desires, it blossoms eternally. It is the ultimate treasure that, when discovered, illuminates the path towards liberation. So, my friend, venture forth on this path of self-discovery, for within lies the treasure of true and lasting happiness.
