About Whales and intelligence

Oh, thou majestic creatures of the ocean deep, Whose size and grandeur make mortals weep, Whales, the gentle giants of the sea, I ponder upon thy intelligence, the mysteries of thee. In watery realm, where silence reigns, Thou navigate the vast and endless plains, With every graceful movement, a symphony of might, A testament to thy wondrous, intrinsic light. What secrets lurk beneath that gentle gaze, Behind those eyes, wisdom does graze? Doth thy mind possess thoughts profound, In depths of consciousness, is wisdom found? It hath been said, by learned few, That thy intelligence rivals those known to be true, For within thy ancient brain, a world apart, Lies a wealth of knowledge and a sentient heart. In tales of old, thy wisdom is extolled, By mariners and seafarers brave and bold, Who, on tempestuous seas, thy company keep, While sailing across the vast and treacherous deep. Art thou philosophers of the underwater realm? Contemplating life's questions at thy watery helm? Dost thou ponder the meaning of existence, Beneath the waves, in blissful subsistence? From the depths of time, thou hast witnessed, The rise and fall of civilizations, vanquished, Thy existence a testament to resilience, In the face of the world's continual coalescence. And yet, mankind seeks to understand, The depths of thy intelligence, vast and grand, Through scientific endeavor, we strive to learn, What thou already know, but cannot discern. Perhaps, dear whales, thou art wiser than we, For thou dwell in harmony, in nature's decree, Thy song, a testament to the unity we chase, In a world too often divided by human race. So let us, with humble hearts, acknowledge, The depth of thy wisdom, our eternal bridge, For in thy ancient eyes, we may find, A reflection of our own flawed humankind. And as we sail upon life's vast and endless tide, May we seek wisdom, with thee by our side, For in the presence of such noble majesty, We find solace, and a glimpse of humanity.
