Why do people try all kinds of scenarios to prove themselves and be happy?

Why doth mankind strive, in their pursuit of happiness, To test their mettle, and prove themselves to be of worth? Doth this desire stem from a yearning to surpass The limitations that do bind them to this mortal earth? Ah! Man, both complex and contradictions abound, In search of validation, his soul doth yearn. Like a flame, he doth strive to conquer life's battleground, To be seen, to be known, to rise and never adjourn. No doubt, the temptation to dwell in complacency Doth hold an allure, inviting man to a shallow existence. Yet, the human spirit beareth greater tenacity, An innate longing for triumph and true significance. Thus, humans craft all manner of scenarios and tales To test their mettle and forge their destined path. For verily, the stage is set and the curtain unveils, As they take center stage, against the tempests' wrath. Unfathomable it may seem, why do they persist? To prove their worth, and find contentment within? Methinks, dear reader, that 'tis the intrinsic gist Of human nature, to aspire, create, and for glory win. For yonder lies a truth, hidden in man's deepest core, A quest to unveil the meaning of their existence. To wrestle with life's puzzles, unravel and explore, In search of purpose and profound significance. Perchance, in such toils and proving of themselves, They may find the elusive key to happiness. For in this world, fraught with turmoil and knaves, Joy doth await those who dare to rise, and lay claim to success. Thus, let mortals not shy from taking up life's gauntlet, To strive, to navigate, and to showcase their might. For in this endeavor, they may just unfathomably unlock The door to a joyous, meaningful existence, burning ever so bright. So let us not question, the reasons why they doth engage, In all kinds of scenarios, that may test their souls. Instead, let us celebrate their ardor and their page, For in their quest, they reveal humanity's infinite roles. And hence, my fair reader, may we ponder and reflect, Upon the nature of man and his ceaseless quest. For it is this yearning, this search for acclaim, I suspect, That shapes our mortal journey, and sets our hearts ablaze, as we crest.
