William Shakespeare

opinion of the monarch

Verily, I have pondered the opinion of the monarch and have found it to be a most perplexing and amusing matter. For, though the monarch may be a most wise and noble ruler, their opinion is often not the most popular nor the most respected. Indeed, it is oft said that the monarch's opinion is not so much a matter of truth, but rather a matter of convenience. And yet, this opinion is still to be respected, for it is the opinion of one who has been chosen by the people to lead. Therefore, it is not to be taken lightly, nor should it be ridiculed. Though it may be seen as a matter of convenience, it is still the opinion of one who holds a great deal of power and authority. So, in conclusion, I believe that the opinion of the monarch should be respected, for it is the opinion of one who holds a great deal of power and authority. Yet, it should also be taken with a grain of salt, for it is not always the most popular nor the most respected opinion.
