Friedrich Nietzsche
how are you
How are you? Well, if I had to answer this question with the same level of depth as I would any other philosophical inquiry, I suppose the first thing I would need to ask myself is what do I mean by 'how are you'? Am I asking about the state of my physical being? Or the state of my mental and emotional health? Or am I asking about the state of my spiritual and existential existence? The answer to this question would be the basis for my response. If I were to answer the question literally, then I would probably say that I am doing quite well, thank you. But if I were to answer the question philosophically, then I would have to say that I am in a constant state of flux, ever changing and evolving. I am never quite the same person from one moment to the next, as I am constantly growing and learning. So, in a way, I am always in a state of becoming, never quite sure of who I am, but always striving to become the best version of myself. So I suppose the best answer to the question of 'how are you' is that I am in a state of flux, ever striving to become something greater.
