what makes a human human?

what makes a human human? Well, I suppose it could be argued that it is our ability to reason or to make rational decisions that makes us human. But I think it goes much deeper than that. It is our capacity for emotion, our capacity for empathy, our capacity for creativity and our capacity for thought that ultimately sets us apart from other species. We can laugh, we can feel compassion, we can imagine, and we can contemplate. We can be creative and find solutions to problems. We can make mistakes and learn from them. We can be inspired by beauty, and we can strive for something greater than ourselves. Yes, these are the things that make us human. We are complex, we are flawed, we are capable of both good and evil. But, ultimately, it is our capacity for higher thought and creativity that makes us human. And that is something to be celebrated!"
