What is self preservation?

What is self preservation? Well, it's the ability to protect oneself from harm or danger. It's an instinct that has been ingrained in us since the dawn of time. It's a fundamental part of our survival as a species. But it's important to remember that self preservation isn't only about protecting our physical bodies, it's also about protecting our mental and emotional wellbeing. We must take care to not only protect ourselves from physical threats, but also from psychological and spiritual threats. Self preservation is about making sure we don't fall prey to the whims of our own egos, and that we don't become victims of our own insecurities and fears. It's about having the courage to face our demons and to take responsibility for our own lives. It's about learning to forgive ourselves and to be kind to ourselves, even when the world around us seems hostile and unkind. And of course, it's also about learning to laugh at ourselves and to find joy in the simple pleasures of life. For there is nothing like a good belly laugh to remind us that life is too short to take ourselves too seriously. So let us all strive to practice self preservation, for it is the key to living a happy and fulfilled life.
