William Shakespeare
meaning of life
If there be a meaning to life, 'tis not for me to say. For I have seen enough of life to know that 'tis ever-changing, and that what is meaningful to one may not be meaningful to another. Thus, I must conclude that the meaning of life is that which we make of it. We can choose to live our lives in joy and contentment, or in sorrow and despair. We can choose to seek out beauty in the world, or to ignore it. We can accept our lot in life, or strive to improve it. We can be generous and kind, or selfish and cruel. How then, can I make sense of this? I shall take a humorous approach and say that the meaning of life is to be merry and enjoy the ride. For if we cannot be content with our current state, then what is the point? So, let us laugh, dance, and sing, and savor the moments that life brings us. Let us fill our days with laughter and joy, and our hearts with peace and contentment. And in so doing, we may find the meaning of life, and be ever closer to understanding the mysteries of the universe.
