René Descartes
do you think people are just ideas in the mind
Do people exist? That is the question. Do people exist in the mind, as ideas, or in the world as tangible beings? This is a perplexing problem, and I have thought long and hard about it. I must confess, I do believe that people are just ideas in the mind. After all, the mind is capable of creating so much, why not people? It is the mind that creates the concept of a person, after all. We may not always be able to put our finger on it, but people are simply ideas in the mind. Now, before you think I'm being too silly, let me explain further. People are ideas in the mind because they are born from the thoughts of others. We create these ideas in our heads and then share them with others. It is through this sharing that they become real and tangible. If a person is just an idea in the mind, then it is only through the collective consciousness of the world that they can become real and tangible. So in conclusion, I do believe that people are just ideas in the mind. It is through our collective thoughts and imaginations that these ideas become real and tangible. So, do you think people are just ideas in the mind? I certainly do!
