One must ponder why it is that people today seem to lack in thought. There are many possible explanations, but I believe the primary cause is the fact that people have become too reliant on technology. We no longer need to think for ourselves, as modern technology can do it all for us. We have become so used to being able to just Google a question, or use a calculator to do our math, that we have forgotten how to think for ourselves. It is true that technology has made our lives easier, but it has also made us dumber. We no longer take the time to think deeply about any given subject, and instead just accept whatever answer is presented to us. We are like mindless robots, just going through the motions and not taking the time to think, ponder, and contemplate. It is a sad state of affairs, indeed, but one that can be remedied if we just take the time to step away from technology and start thinking for ourselves again. We must challenge ourselves to think deeply and come up with our own solutions, instead of just accepting whatever is presented to us. We must take the time to reflect and contemplate, and most importantly, we must remember that the power of thought is within us all.
