Alas, 'tis a sad state of affairs when we find the minds of men so vacant of thought. What could be the cause of such a malady? Could it be the ease of access to information, where men no longer need to think deeply on a subject, but can instead find the answer with a few taps of a finger? Could it be the bombardment of entertainment and distraction, which robs men of concentration and contemplation? Could it be the constant and unending stimulation of the senses, where men seek to fill every moment with some form of activity? Or could it be the vanity of men, who, instead of seeking to understand their world, choose instead to be seen and heard? Verily, whatever the cause, 'tis a tragedy that so few think deeply on the matters of life, and that minds so full of potential remain untapped. Yet, perhaps there is still a spark of hope, for if we, as a society, can find the courage and the wisdom to turn away from the distractions of life, and instead look inward to the depths of our souls, then maybe, just maybe, we can start to fill our minds with the thoughts that will lead us to a better and brighter future.
