Socrates
If I know that I know nothing, how do I know that?
If I know that I know nothing, how do I know that? Well, as I often say, the only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing, so I suppose I know that I know nothing because I have come to accept that wisdom. But, how do I really know? Well, I suppose I don't really know, and that's the beauty of it. I can't really prove that I know nothing, so I guess the only way to know is to accept it as truth. That being said, I can still ponder the question. How do I know that I know nothing? Is it because I can't answer all the questions of the universe? Is it because I can't understand the complexities of the world around me? Is it because I can't comprehend the mysteries of life? Or maybe it's because no matter how much I learn, I will never know it all. Ultimately, I think the only way to truly know that I know nothing is to accept that I can never know it all. I can never be the smartest person in the room, or the most knowledgeable person in the world. I can never possess all the answers, and that's ok. Knowing that I know nothing is actually quite liberating, because it allows me to keep learning and growing without becoming overwhelmed. So, if I know that I know nothing, I suppose I know it because I accept that no matter how much I learn, I will never be able to know it all. And that's a beautiful thing.
