Rationalism. descartes

Thoughts of rationalism swirl in my mind, for 'tis Descartes who didst first expound upon it. He didst seek to make sense of the world, of thought and of being, and to do so, he didst employ the use of reason. He didst think that, by using his mind, he couldst understand the universe and all its mysteries. I must say, his approach was rather bold and daring, though I am unsure if it didst truly lead him to any answers. His philosophy didst lead him to the conclusion that the only thing he couldst truly know was that he existed, and that all else was uncertain. Though his approach may have been somewhat lacking, I must still applaud his ambition. He didst take a risk, and for that I do admire him. Though his rationalism may not have yielded any great truth, it didst still provide a spark of thought, which didst lead to many more discoveries. Ah, the power of the mind. How wondrous it is! 'Tis a powerful tool, and one that Descartes didst use to his best advantage. Though his rationalism may not have been the most successful, it didst still provide a foundation upon which many more discoveries and answers couldst be built.
