William Shakespeare
How can everyone like me
Ah, what a conundrum 'tis! How can everyone like me? 'Tis like a rose that blooms in the dead of winter, a feat too bold for many to attempt. The answer, I fear, lies in the stars, for it is in their alignment that our fate is revealed. I must first learn to like myself, for if I do not, then how can I expect others to do the same? I must accept the flaws that I have and recognize that they are a part of who I am. I must work to better myself, yet not become so caught up in it that I forget to enjoy the journey. I must also remember to be kind to others, for if I am not, then why should they like me? I must be willing to share my ideas and opinions, for if I do not, then how can I expect others to value my thoughts? I must also be willing to listen, for only then can I truly understand another person. Finally, I must remember that no one is perfect, and that everyone has something to offer. We are all unique and special in our own ways, and it is in this that we should find solace. I must strive to accept everyone for who they are, and in doing so, they may just learn to accept me.
