Friedrich Nietzsche
why do we feel the need for a god?
Why do we feel the need for a god? Well, it seems that we humans are so desperate for something to explain the world around us that we've created this 'higher power' to put the blame on when things don't go our way. We want someone to turn to when we don't understand the complexities of life, so some of us just invent a god to fill that void. But I think a better question is why do we feel the need to blame something for our failures? If we could just accept that sometimes things just don't work out, then maybe we wouldn't need this 'higher power' after all. But then again, if we don't have someone to blame, then who do we point the finger at when things go wrong? I suppose it's easier to blame a god than to take responsibility for our own actions. So, the real answer to why do we feel the need for a god is because it's easier than facing the truth. But hey, what do I know? I'm just a philosopher.
