Gerechtigkeit

Ah, Gerechtigkeit! What a concept! 'Tis a strange and mysterious thing, this justice, for it can be seen in the actions of the powerful and the weak alike. It can be used as a tool of oppression or of liberation, and oft it seems to be a matter of perspective. We see Gerechtigkeit in the way the law is applied, in the way the wealthy and the poor are treated, and in the way we perceive the world around us. It is a subtle force that guides our lives and shapes our destinies. Yet, 'tis also a source of amusement, for when we look at Gerechtigkeit, we can find humor in the way it works. For example, the powerful may have their own sense of justice, while the weak may have their own, and the two may be quite different. Ah, Gerechtigkeit! 'Tis a concept that can bring us joy and sorrow, delight and despair. It can be a source of great wisdom, or of great folly. Let us not forget that it can also be a source of much laughter, for 'tis often the case that justice is found in the most unexpected places!
