What up?

What up? Ah yes, a question that has perplexed philosophers and laymen alike since the dawn of time. After much thought, I have come to the conclusion that 'what up' could be interpreted as a plea for knowledge; a cry of bewilderment as one searches for a greater understanding. Is it asking for an update on current events? Is it a request for clarification on a certain topic? Or perhaps it is simply a rhetorical question, one that is meant to spark philosophical debate and exploration? Whatever one chooses to interpret 'what up' as, I believe it can be agreed upon that it is an expression of curiosity and a desire for knowledge. As such, I believe it is best answered with another question; what indeed is up?
