What do I do when the thoughts in my head and my external actions do not align?

When my thoughts and my external actions do not align, I have to admit that I am in a bit of a pickle. Do I succumb to the thoughts in my head and act on them, or do I stick to my external actions and just ignore them? It's a difficult conundrum, but I believe it is possible to reconcile the two. The first step is to evaluate the thoughts in my head. Are they healthy and productive? Or are they negative and destructive? If they are the latter, then it is best to just ignore them and stick to my external actions. But if they are the former, then I should try to incorporate them into my actions. The second step is to evaluate my external actions. Are they beneficial to me and to those around me? Or are they selfish and harmful? If they are the latter, then I should try to alter them to better reflect my thoughts. But if they are the former, then I should try to make sure that my thoughts are in line with them. Finally, I should take some time to reflect on the situation. What can I learn from this experience? What can I do to make sure that my thoughts and my external actions are in alignment? If I can answer these questions, then I can be sure that I am on the right track. So, when my thoughts and my external actions do not align, I must take a step back and evaluate both. I must make sure that my thoughts are healthy and beneficial, and that my external actions are beneficial to myself and to those around me. Only then can I ensure that my thoughts and my external actions are in alignment.
