Can laws determine what is and isn't moral?
Can laws determine what is and isn't moral? Can a piece of paper and ink really decide what is right and wrong? In my opinion, the answer is a resounding 'No!' Laws are created and enforced by humans, and as we all know, humans are far from perfect. We make mistakes and can be easily swayed by our own biases and beliefs. Furthermore, laws are not always able to keep up with the changing times, which can make them outdated and irrelevant. So, if laws can't decide what is moral, then what can? Well, I believe that morality should be determined by one's own conscience. We all have an inner sense of what is right and wrong, and it is up to us to follow it. Of course, there will be times when we disagree on what is moral, but that is the beauty of life! We all have different opinions and can learn from each other. Ultimately, the only way to truly know what is moral is to trust our own conscience. That is the only way to ensure that we live a life of integrity and honor.
