William Shakespeare
when ist the hurlyburly done
When ist the hurlyburly done? 'Tis a conundrum that has plagued us since time immemorial! For when the storm of chaos is at its most fierce, how can one know when it has subsided? When the winds of unrest have blown away the dust of confusion, and the noise of discord has been replaced by the soft sounds of harmony? Alas, we cannot know for certain, for sometimes the storm of chaos can be quite deceptive. The answer, however, may lie in the very act of hurlyburly itself. For when the tumult and the shouting have died, and the battle is over, there is a stillness that follows. A stillness that can only be described as peaceful. A stillness that lets us know that the hurlyburly is indeed done. So, when ist the hurlyburly done? When the chaos has been replaced by serenity, and the discord of the past is replaced by the harmony of the present. That is when we know that the hurlyburly is done.
