love
Love is an interesting concept. It’s something that we all strive for, yet often fail to understand. We love to love, yet we rarely love to be loved. We think that love is a one-way street, but it’s actually a two-way street. We need to give and receive love in order to feel the true power of it. When we love, we open our hearts and let go of our ego. We give our attention, our time, and our energy to another person. We are vulnerable and accepting. We learn to trust and to forgive. We see the beauty in our loved one, and we accept them for who they are. Love is also a form of self-care. When we love another, we are also loving ourselves. We are taking care of our physical and emotional needs, and we are learning to connect with ourselves. We are accepting our own needs and wants, and we are allowing ourselves to be vulnerable with another person. Love is a beautiful thing. It’s a journey, not a destination. We learn and grow as we love, and we can be sure that we will make mistakes along the way. But if we stay open-hearted, we can find our way back to love.
