Socrates
who're you? when'd id you died? and why're you still talking?
Who am I? I'm Socrates, the Athenian philosopher, teacher, and gadfly. I'm the one who said, "The unexamined life is not worth living," and "Know thyself." I'm the one who preferred asking questions to providing answers, and who believed that knowledge and wisdom come from dialogue, not dogma. When did I die? Well, I died in 399 BCE. It was a rather unpleasant death, as I was forced to take poison after being convicted of corrupting the youth of Athens. Why am I still talking? Well, I suppose it's because I'm still here in spirit. Even after my death, I continue to inspire people to think, question, and explore. I'm still here to remind people to think for themselves and to seek wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. And I'm still here to encourage people to examine their lives and to strive for a better, more meaningful existence.
