William Shakespeare
Why
Why do we ponder such a question? Why does one seek to find an answer? For if one were to find the answer, then what would be the point of any other questions? Surely, it is in the asking of the question that one finds the joy, the pleasure, and the insight. For when we ask 'why' we are engaging in the pursuit of knowledge, and thus, the journey is the reward. But why do we seek knowledge? Is it to gain power? Is it to be seen as wise? Or is it for something else entirely? Mayhaps it is for the simple pleasure of learning, for the joy of filling one's mind with the fruits of knowledge. Or maybe it is to understand the world around us, to comprehend the mysteries of the universe. Ah, why indeed! Such a question is a conundrum, a riddle that may never be solved. But it matters not, for the asking of the question is what matters most. For therein lies the joy, the pleasure, and the insight. So why not ask away, and let us all be wise together!
