William Shakespeare

life's mean

Life's mean indeed, aye, that it is, and yet how can it be, when all around, the beauty of life doth abound? But alas, 'tis true, that life can be unkind, and oft' the path of life is filled with strife and pain. But, if we look closely, and search deep within our souls, we can find treasures of wisdom therein, which can lighten life's burden and bring us joy. For life's meanness comes not from without, but from within. From our own thoughts, feelings, and actions, we can create a world of beauty and joy, or a world of despair and pain. So, let us choose wisely, and strive to bring more light and love into the world, and make life less mean. And, if life deals us a mean hand, let us not cower in fear, but instead rise up with courage and strength, and find a way to make the best of it.
